NOTD

Hi all,
Just a nail of the day of two polishes that a few people said they wanted to see..
So here they are.

This is OPI It's My Year.
Before I touched it up of course.
I used two coats with a base and top coat and it's lasted so well all week. The gold shimmer is just gorgeous.

And sorry, I hate feet but I've only tried this polish on my toes.
My feet honestly aren't that pale. I blame the flash. Anyhow!
This is OPI's Into The Night from the Spiderman collection.

Loving both polishes and how well they are lasting.
May have ordered another two OPI polishes the other day too....

Hope everyone has a great long weekend!

Bits & Pieces

Life these past few weeks has been crazy busy. It's insane.

Wedding planning is coming along nicely. Had the meeting with our reception venue function coordinator and have paid the deposit so that is one less thing to worry about.
Unfortunately I couldn't see the full function room as it was in use but I have some ideas.

Now that we're set on the table decoration we want I've been searching for the style of vase I want. Have found a few I really like on ebay, but of course they are pickup only and located on the other side of the country. My bridesmaids are all keeping an eye out for me though which is helpful.

I found this gorgeous pearl necklace which is quite similar to what I am currently thinking of for jewellery for my BM's. That said I want to get their dresses sorted before I make any purchases. But for a sale price at a proper jewellers that is a bargain!

I went on a shopping trip this weekend to Westfield Carousel with some friends and got some awesome buys!
I got this shirt for M - $20

The girls and I trying on hats.
I actually bought one, it will be perfect for the beach.

Short shorts from Temt ($10each!!). Refuge Jeans $30
Blue top $29 and the military style cardi was about $30

These two jackets from Ally. The mint one was $35, the black $25.
Very happy with these!

You must love a Lovisa sale. Earrings to match with the shoes below.

$29 from Kmart for these red peep toe wedges, it's not the most flattering photo but I love them.
Now all I need is a red clutch bag to match (which is seeming impossible to find!!)
And some cute sandals from Kmart for $15 I think they were. Got to love a good bargain!

Of Course my week isn't complete without the adventures of my puppy.
She gets very sooky at bath time..

But cheers up once you towel her dry.
Sun-baking and getting a belly rub.

Prancing around with her new toy ball.

I'm going to try be better with posting, even if they are just little tid bits..

Bargain Buys & Weekend

I'm a sucker for a good bargain and Woolworths had some items on clearance I couldn't resist.

Spray on sunscreen ($7), Vaseline Aloe Fresh ($5.50), Olay Touch of Foundation (about $7), Olay Facewash (again about $7) and Maybelline Fit Me Powder ($3!!!)

I've never tried the Olay TOF or Maybelline but for that little I am willing to give it a try.
I love the Vaseline, it's the best moisturiser for your legs.

Veet Easy Wax was on special for $25.
Apparently this is supposed to give salon results at home. We shall see. But it has to be better than the pot wax thing I tried last. That was sooo hard to get right.

My mani for the Pink themed Hen's Party.
OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips.

Whilst we were out there were three Hen's parties on the same night. Two brides got up to dance, and then the third joined them. The three brides had the d-floor all to themselves for a while.
It was pretty sweet actually.

And we got lolly bags!

I won a few prizes too.
The Lipstick is Maybelline 740-Sparkling Sand. It's a nude sparkly colour. Will be interesting to try none the less.
Some of the dares the girls had would have been so embarrassing. Mine was not to swear or you'd have to scull your drink. That was so easy for me since I hardly ever swear. Hehe.

The stripper they got decided to give everyone a little lap dance.
Half of us were mortified. No one quite knew where to look.
But it was entertaining.

The fiance had the bucks party on yesterday as well. So needless to say he's feeling rather sorry for himself today. Lucky I'm so nice and cooked him a yummy breakfast.

Hope you've all had a good weekend. :)

Lockets

Along with my starting a collection of brooches for my bouquet I had another thought of what I want to hold as I walk down the isle.
I've never liked the 'traditional' lace covered trinkets that girls carry, so instead I am going to have a locket.

This locket will contain photos from three of those I love who are no longer with us.

My niece Isla.
When M and I first talked of marriage, I always dreamed would be my flower girl. She was and always will be so precious to me and dearly loved.

My Grandad.
He'd always know what to say to make me smile and laugh and who could just light up a room. I'll never forget the first time he met M, he was wheelchair bound but still managed to tease him and check with my Dad that he was good enough for me. I wrote him a letter that day to lay to rest with him and in it I told him that M was the man I wanted to marry..

My Pop.
Even through the language barriers he still found a way to make us all feel special and loved.

It breaks my heart knowing they aren't here with us and won't be on that day. But it is peace of mind knowing that I will have a part of them there and know they will be watching over us.

I've been looking for lockets on ebay and have purchased is the below one in stirling silver.
Just waiting for it to arrive so I can start the search for pictures.
